My wife wanted to buy a house with a pool and I thought it would be a lot of problems and money. She insisted that it was a great investment and she promised that she would use the pool frequently. We’ve been living in the house for two and a half years and my wife has spent most of every day in the pool. She absolutely uses the pool much more frequently than I thought she would. She hasn’t grown tired of being outside or going in the water. She insisted that we add a heater to the pool last winter. Since she spent so much time in the pool, I thought it was a very good investment. We paid a contract to add the heater to the pool. The specialty contractor mainly worked on spas and pools and the guy was rated very highly in the city. The pool heating contractor set up a system in the pool that uses propane to heat the water. Propane is actually a very good heating source for the pool because the temperature can reach a very high degree. The first season we had the heater in the pool, everything worked well. The temperature always remained 106 degrees. It was very warm and inviting, even during the winter months. Unfortunately, this year it seems like we have only had one problem after another. I’m beginning to lose faith in our investment. It seems like we are spending hundreds of dollars on repairs to the pool each and every month. I’m at the end of my rope with this outdoor oasis.
