Building your very own heating and air conditioning business is not as easy as one may think! I found this out the hard way when I graduated from heat and a/c school and tried it. I was thinking that all I had to do was get my business license and that would be it. The work would just flow to me. This was not the case at all! It took me almost a year to actually get the heating and air conditioning business going. I wasn’t even sure if it was going to work out. That is how shaky it was. I had to do all kinds of things and make a few small investments in advertising as well. It was really tough to tell you the honest to god truth of it all. But I am glad that I was able to get the heating and air conditioning business up and running with good success. I have a pretty steady customer base flowing now and I have work almost every single day of the week. I am making enough to live on now when in the beginning I had to go out and get another job and work on my heat and a/c business on the side. Preparing is the key. When you get out of heating and air conditioning school be sure you know what direction you are going to be in and shoot for it. Do not come unprepared thinking it would all work itself out like I did. You will be in for a big disappointment otherwise.
