My husband told me that he really wants to move into a more energy efficient home than the one that we are living in now.
I can’t really say that I blame him either.
Our heating and cooling bills have been really high ever since we moved into this house a couple of years ago. At first, I thought we were just using the air conditioning in the heating way more than we should have been. However, that has not really been the case. It’s more that the Insulation and the old HVAC system in this house are really not up to speed. We did some investigating and we ended up having a certified HVAC technician come over to the house to check out the HVAC system for us. He told us that the whole thing really needs to be replaced, but we don’t really like this household that much anyway. We have decided that instead of spending a whole lot of money on replacing the HVAC system, we are just going to look for a completely new house instead. I know that sounds like it’s a bit of a drastic decision, but we have been thinking about moving anyway because we don’t like the house or the area that we are living in. And when you add in a crappy old HVAC system to that, you end up with a recipe for disaster and us just moving away completely! I hope that we can find a new house with a high efficiency heating and cooling system so that we can save a lot of money on our heating and cooling bills in the future.
