On the rare occasion that I did not have my cell phone, something terrible happened that would have easily been solved by a single phone call.
I was starting to think that the washroom was soundproof because nobody had come to my rescue despite me calling for help several times.
I was in the office bathroom for what felt like hours. I hadn’t noticed before, but it was hot inside, and I was sweating. It was as if the HVAC did not service the restroom. It was close to two hours when someone finally needed to use the bathroom, and they could open it from the outside. According to the tag on her shirt, the lady was an a/c professional. On close inspection, I realized she was from the same a/c worker from the indoor comfort business that had done air conditioning service in my home about a month ago. I told the cooling specialist about the HVAC situation in the bathroom, and she told me they were working on replacing it with new air conditioning equipment because air conditioning tune-up was no longer enough. I was surprised since I thought the building ran on quality HVAC, but even those need replacing at some point. The new electric heat pump would be using the latest technology to help with indoor comfort. It was a ductless mini-split system. The HVAC installation was going to take a whole day. The ceiling fans were helping to cool the office, but it was not enough; a day was a small price for enjoying the ac for many years to come. The old digital thermostat had already started giving a false reading, and it was time for the cooling corporation to act on it.
