It was during summertime when my digital thermostat started misbehaving. It was hectic being in the house all day without any ac. My wife and children kept complaining, and I decided to call the indoor comfort business. They assured me they would send an a/c professional to my house the following day. We had to use a portable fan which was not of much help. After thoroughly checking the HVAC installation, the a/c worker discovered that the problem was the electric heat pump, not the regulator. The quality HVAC only worked for a few days after the air conditioning service broke down again. After some deliberations with my wife, we concluded that buying new air conditioning equipment was our only way out. I decided to visit a cooling corporation for consultation, and the cooling specialist recommended a ductless mini-split. It, however, would require us to be keener on air conditioning tune-up and have it done twice a year to reach its lifespan and hopefully exceed it. We took out the money from our emergency funds account because it was a situation we had not anticipated. It was a year earlier than we had planned to purchase new HVAC equipment. Three days after our purchase, we were enjoying our new unit. The help with indoor comfort was something we had not experienced in a long time. It was like we had moved into a completely different house. The change was remarkable. We had gotten used to the poor indoor air quality that none of us realized how bad we needed a new a/c. My eldest daughter joked about how she would now comfortably invite her friends for a sleepover.
