Since I purchased a house, I have deeply dived into making energy efficient changes. There are multiple elements in my beach house that actually waste energy and also resources. I have studied a great deal of environmental blogs that actually teach myself and others how we can make economically and ecologically friendly fluctuations in my beach home then one recent thing that I observed was how these changes can impact the environment in my home. One serious thing that I have seen is the Disposable air filter. Each heating and air conditioning system has a filter that needs to be swapped out frequently. They aren’t absolutely the worst for this environment due to the fact that they can be recycled however not every person knows how they can be recycled properly. Many of the disposable air filters are thrown inside of the trash where they have a very negative impact on our environment. A recent article in the newspaper showed me that washable air filters can be a great choice. They can be washed for an entirely long time before they have to be updated. I was easily weirded by this method due to people not fully being able to wash the filters however these directions on properly washing them are extremely thorough. I purchased a washable filter and so far I think it has been great. I have even thought about buying some washable air filters for members of my family. It seems that everyone of us would do well saving money on the Disposable air filters.
