I had a particularly long day at the office, so I went home and decided to take a nap.
- I laid down on the couch and instead of the bed.
I was afraid of falling asleep for a long time if I layed down in bed. I only wanted to nap for an hour or two, so I thought the couch was a much better place, and unluckily, the air conditioning system made me feel so cool and comfortable that I slept for 4 hours. I woke up with goosebumps all over my arms and legs. The air conditioning system was set for 71 degrees and it was genuinely chilly in the house. I grabbed a blanket from the back of the couch and covered up my legs. Then I got genuinely cozy and comfortable on the couch. I heard myself snoring before I really went back to sleep. I did not wake up until the next afternoon when my cell phone alarm was ringing for work. I felt genuinely disoriented after waking up on the couch. I almost forgot where I was. I jumped into the shower and the warm water felt great. I realized that I had quite a stiff neck. It was difficult to transport my neck after sleeping on the couch for 8 hours. The next time I want to take a nap, I’m going to be sure to set an alarm and get up when it goes off. Although the extra sleep was particularly nice, my neck was sore and achy all day long from sleeping on the couch.
