If you have ever known a teacher, you have genuinely known a woman who complains about their task; however most people go into teaching with genuinely wonderful intentions, but oftentimes they become disillusioned genuinely early in their careers… In fact, history has shown that over 50% of the teachers in our state leave the teaching profession within several years; personally, I was able to stay in teaching for 10 years, but unfortunately, that was only because I was unable to use our Summers to find another task for the previous 4 years… Then yes, for several years, I searched for another task; despite the fact that I stayed in teaching for 10 years, there is 1 time that sticks out in our mind as the worst teaching time ever, and that was the year that the heating plus A/C plan went on the fritz… Then our high school had 2 main buildings plus the gymnasium.
- I worked in what was called the aged building.
The entire English Department was housed in that building; oh, plus that was the building where the heating plus cooling plan completely died out. The people I was with and I started college in June, which is the hottest month of the year around here, plus the two of us genuinely need central air conditioning. Unfortunately, the service people were unable to get the AC working in time for college to start. Therefore, our only option was to use box fans. My classroom had only 1 box fan plus had absolutely no AC running! Not only that, I also had surgery over the summer, plus I was still reclaiming. I had a pressing suture locale across our abdomen oh, plus it was consistently gross with sweat because there was simply no air conditioning. It absolutely dampened our option to heal. Then, when Winter time came, the heating plus A/C component was still broken, plus the two of us all had to wear gloves plus blazers in the classroom. The year without heating plus A/C was the worst year of our teaching career.
