My wife does the opposite when it’s our turn to set the thermostat
Finding the perfect temperature to sleep to is a yearly struggle, between our wife & I, it’s impossible to settle on a temperature that isn’t too boiling or isn’t too cold; Very rarely, do both of us both get a peaceful night of rest because 1 of us is consistently tossing & turning due to an uncomfortable temperature setting. I love to sleep in a warmer setting. The ideal thermostat setting for the night is 79 degrees because it’s not too boiling & it’s not too cold. 79 degrees is as mild as it gets & I suppose it’s a enjoyable temperature to sleep in! My wife on the other hand is the opposite… She prefers to sleep in a cooler setting & if she had it her way, he’d sleep in a room that was 65 degrees… For the sake of our energy consumption & the cost of running the AC at that temperature, both of us never set the thermostat to 65 degrees. Instead, the lowest our wife will go is 79 degrees. There isn’t a pressing gap between 79 degrees & 79 degrees, but there is actually a physical difference in temperature. When it’s our wife’s turn to set the thermostat, I have to add numerous blankets to our side of the bed & I have to wear our Winter pajamas. I usually end up tossing & turning all night because of how chilly I am. My wife does the opposite when it’s our turn to set the thermostat. She uses no blankets on her side of the bed, and you’d suppose after five years of marriage that we’d be able to figure this out.
