I’ve consistently been actually impressed with the ductless mini split unit that I have in our basement, however i was hesitant about having it installed in the first arena because it wasn’t what I was used to for a heat & air source, but it came highly advised .
I was used to having a single thermostat & a central Heating as well as A/C system, but the ductless unit was slightly different.
Instead of having HVAC duct & numerous air vents, there was 1 unit & 1 massive air vent connected to the unit that produced both heat & air. Instead of a thermostat, there was a tiny remote that controlled the settings & a straight-forward screen that featured the temperature, but when the ductless mini split unit was installed, I had no system how it was going to heat & cool our basement, but it surprised me, but once I adjust the temperature on the ductless mini split unit via the remote, it doesn’t take long for the equipment to abruptly begin producing air, then recently, I noticed that the ductless unit was actually struggling to produce cool air & our basement was feeling warm; Knowing this, I turned off the unit & I looked for the air filter. Once located, I removed the air filter & washed it off, and there was a ton of dust stuck to it & it was clogging up the entire unit. Once I replaced the air filter, I turned on the ductless unit again & kept an eye on it… Cleaning the air filter actually improved the air quality & the overall function of our ductless mini split unit.
