Choosing an elliptical for home gym

It took a while to save up enough money to purchase a larger exercise machine.

The bigger, more complex pieces of equipment are extremely expensive.

I was unwilling to settle for a cheaper, more basic model. I knew that I would use the machine several times per week for many years. With limited space in my home gym, I was determined to make a smart choice. I was willing to spend more for a better model with modern features. I researched the different makes and models of treadmills, rowing machines, stationary bikes and ellipticals. I decided against a treadmill and stationary bike because these are activities I can do outside. I would prefer to ride an actual bike and go for a run around the neighborhood. Plus, those exercises concentrate almost entirely on the legs. While a rowing machine is a unique movement that involves both arms and legs, the machine itself was sizable. It would have taken up a lot of space in my home gym. I ultimately purchased an elliptical, and I’ve been completely happy with it. Because the feet don’t lift off the pedals, the motion is strenuous without damaging impact on my knees, ankles and feet. Plus, there are handles that allow me to engage my arms in the workout. The touchscreen is very easy to navigate and offers a variety of workout programs. I can easily increase intensity. The machine also features a cup holder, tray for my phone and is quiet enough that I can workout without disturbing the rest of the family.
