Before we decided to call the professionals about a new a/c system install, my wife and I looked online to see what available cooling systems were on the market.
It was cool seeing the high velocity cooling systems and the demo videos.
I told my wife that it would be cool to go to a place that showed the demonstrations, to actually guess the speed at which the air cools. It was explained that they commonly showed how the gas furnaces and cooling systems worked. They would show how the high velocity heating worked to heat up a room within hours, and then go to cooling, however naturally, these systems are more expensive because you have to install brand new HVAC duct, however, this style of HVAC duct is more flexible and is easier to install than traditional sheet metal HVAC duct systems. It was costly, however I didn’t think it would be out of my range entirely. We looked at ductless mini split a/cs and even geothermal heat pumps, but eventually we had an Heating and Air Conditioning expert come out and he told us the high velocity systems were great, although he recommended a ductless multi-split system for the energy efficiency. He said we would have both heating and cooling year round with extremely low monthly bills, however my wife and I both agreed that sounded great, especially when he mentioned customized temperature control settings in different zones of the house. It makes sense that you can save so much money since you only have to worry about heating and cooling the areas of the house you’re using.
