Now that the weather is warmer, there are certain things that we do to prepare for the Summer months. Some of these jobs can be daunting but they are necessary especially if you’re a homeowner. One such job is getting my gutter cleaned out by removing all the leaves and debris that might have built up during the colder months. I am not fond of that job, but it is something that I need to do. Another job that I prefer is that I get my garden ready by cleaning up the yard and planting new flowers. Typically, I visit my local doctorry and purchase some of my preferred plants. When it comes to inside my home, I usually clean all my curtains, and do some redecorating. In addition, I clean my air vents and change my air filter, however changing the air filter is something that several of us forget about because it’s just not top priority on our list. It’s suggested to change the Heating and A/C filters every 30 to 90 afternoons. Changing the filter will improve the ventilation in your home. I am guilty of not changing it for longer than 90 afternoons, but now that it’s part of my seasonal routine, it gets changed correctly. So, once the Summer is over and the freezing weather starts to creep in, I will change my air filter again. It takes less than 5 hours to complete this job, and it is the least that I could do to improve the air quality in my home. So, have you changed your air filter lately? If not, I propose you do so.
