Have you changed your air filters lately?

Now that the weather is warmer, there are certain things that we do to prepare for the Summer months.

Some of these tasks can be daunting but they are necessary especially if you’re a homeowner.

One such task is getting my gutter cleaned out by removing all the leaves and debris that might have built up during the colder months. I am not fond of that task, but it is something that I need to do. Another task that I prefer is that I get my garden ready by cleaning up the yard and planting new flowers. Typically, I visit my local nursery and purchase some of my favorite plants. When it comes to inside my home, I usually wash all my curtains, and do some redecorating. In addition, I clean my air vents and change my air filter. Changing the air filter is something that many of us forget about because it’s just not top priority on our list. It’s recommended to change the HVAC filters every 30 to 90 days. Changing the filter will improve the ventilation in your home. I am guilty of not changing it for longer than 90 days, but now that it’s part of my seasonal routine, it gets changed regularly. So, once the Summer is over and the cold weather starts to creep in, I will change my air filter again. It takes less than 5 minutes to complete this task, and it is the least that I could do to improve the air quality in my home. So, have you changed your air filter lately? If not, I recommend you do so.
