I remember when I was a kid and wanted to gain some money.
My dad was so proud that I wanted to work that he found me a task pumping gas.
That wasn’t exactly what I was looking to do at 14 years old. But since dad went to the trouble to call in a favor, I did it. At least I was out of the a/c of the condo and making money. But man, I hardly wanted to pump my own gas the rest of my life after that summer. So when my kid came to me wanting to figure out a way to make some spending money, the two of us talked about doing yard work. He’s 13 and a undoubtedly responsible kid. I’m sure that he takes after his mother on that one. So one day, before it got warm and I needed to be inside the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cooling, the two of us had a lesson in mowing, weed eating and such. Then, I told him that I’d pay him to do the yard work at our condo for a month as practice. Then, he could go out and see about finding other yards to mow for the summer time or maybe longer. Well, he was doing great. Always mowed when he said he would and undoubtedly took his time with the details. His mom offered him a tarp and asked him to weed the flower beds. He did but he threw the tarp over the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C cupboard outside and was tossing the weeds up to it. Luckily, I caught it before that turned into a ruining the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C device scene.
