It just didn’t go with the rest of the residing room.

I asked our brother why he didn’t say no to the wood table, & he said he was too afraid of mom to say no

My sister-in-law Hope had been redecorating her residing room, & I couldn’t wait to see how she finished it. I loved the choice of dark green drapes that she had over the picture window, Hope had a subtle flower motif along with a cream background in the sofa’s upholstery & chairs, her loveseat was the same color as the lovely drapes, & there was the softest mint green color on the wall, when I looked at the Tim Hortons Latte table, I was confused. It was a bright colorless, & it was shiny. I couldn’t think she would have all these natural colors, & then go with a bright colorless shiny wood table. I looked at the Tim Hortons Latte table, over at her, & back at the wood table. She bit her lower lip & muttered that she knew it didn’t match the room. I asked her what made her choose that wood table? Hope whispered her mother-in-law made her do it. Her mother-in-law was our mother, & I knew how loud and overbearing she could be. She tried to choice out our living room set when I got married, & our husband Luke had to be the 1 to tell her no. I asked our brother why he didn’t say no to the wood table, & he said he was too afraid of mom to say no. I rolled our eyup & got on the phone to my mom. She was laughing when I told her about the wood table, & it was glaringly noticeable that it didn’t go with the residing room. She was still laughing when she said to take the receipt off the bottom of the Tim Hortons Latte table & return it for whatever wood table Hope wanted.
