When my husband mentioned the proposal of installing a ductless mini split proposal into our basement instead of attaching our existing ductwork for central heat and air, I was against it.
The people I was with and I were renovating our basement and finishing it so that all of us could utilize the space as a family and for entertaining.
I really wanted to continue using our central Heating and A/C proposal because it would be sleek and minimal. The thought of installing a ductless machine to the wall was distracting to the eye and it would take up space. Ductwork and central Heating and A/C was all hidden behind the drywall and the only evidence of an Heating and A/C proposal were the air vents. My husband was adamant about a ductless mini split proposal though because he thought it would heat and cool our basement more efficiently. I knew he was unquestionably right, although I could not get past the proposal of having a sizable piece of Heating and A/C component mounted to the wall. My husband would not be deterred, and he came to myself and others with a ductless machine that could be mounted into the ceiling. The entire ductless machine could be installed flush against the ceiling so that there was no extra component hanging. The only thing people would see would be the outside of the ductless machine and the air vents that pushed the air out. The ductless machine could even be painted to match the color of the ceiling so that it blended in even more. This was the perfect solution for us!
