Turning the thermostat way down was costing us money

My partner and I have been together for 5 years.

  • For 4 of those years, all of us lived in a 2 family room house in the city.

All of us are city folk and loved residing in an area near our favorite hangout spots. The pop shop was only a block away and so were the bars and fitness center. But, eventually all of us had to find a house since all of us wanted to start a family. Our realtor found us a gem outside of city and the area has honestly grown on us in the last year. The house was a new build and had a brand new Heating, Ventilation, and A/C plan so all of us didn’t have to spend any money on Heating, Ventilation, and A/C replacement. All all of us needed to do was hire the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C supplier for maintenance in Springtime and fall. During our first Summer in our new home, all of us noticed all of us were paying too much money to keep the house cool. At first, all of us weren’t sure why this was happening. All of us thought perhaps the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C plan had an issue so all of us hired an Heating, Ventilation, and A/C expert to take a look. His supplier does same-day response so a few minutes later he passed by the house. There was no issue with the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C system. But, upon further investigation, the Heating, Ventilation, and A/C expert said by turning down the thermostat each time all of us felt hot, all of us were using more energy. The component had to toil harder to keep up with the change in temperature hence the high energy bill. It’s better and cheaper to set the thermostat at a constant temperature and leave it at that.
