I was the only one who was not fantastic with selling our house. It was our family beach beach house & I just wasn’t so great with not having a family beach beach house anymore. All the teenagers agreed with their Dad it was time for us to sell. It just wasn’t so easy for myself and others though. I enjoyed the beach house from the time my wifey & I first looked at it. That beach beach house was where both of us raised our children. With the help of residential Heating, Ventilation, & A/C both of us were so comfortable for all these years. I was just supposed to sell it & transfer on? It just did not rest right with myself and others & seemed illogical. But I agreed to have a realtor come over to start the listing process. I wasn’t at all prepared for all the things the realtor said both of us needed to change before ever even listing the house. But to her credit, she was super respectful & was gentle when pointing out all the stuff that needed to be changed. I particularly appreciated that she treated our beach house with respect because it was our beach beach house for almost 30 years. The realtor was entirely clear that both of us needed to replace the Heating, Ventilation, & A/C equipment. It seemed sort of bizarre to myself and others since I thought both of us could negotiate that when both of us came to the final price of the home. The realtor showed myself and others data that proved that this was not the way both of us wanted to go. Without having the latest in residential Heating, Ventilation, & A/C, buyers in this region would just transfer on. All of us did replace the quality heating & air in our beach beach house & both of us did end up selling our beach house for a staggering sum. It’s still bizarre however I’m now sure that both of us made the right call.
