If you want to get a fireplace in your house this year, then you should really go ahead and get started on it right now.
Believe me, if you wait too long into the fall season, then you are going to end up on a waiting list and that can end up being nothing but trouble.
Last year, I decided at the last minute that I wanted to get a fireplace installed in my house. I didn’t really need anything too fancy, and it wasn’t like I was asking for a miracle or anything. I didn’t even want a wood burning fireplace so I didn’t need a ton of work done to my house to get it installed. I just wanted a small, simple gas log fireplace installed in the house and you would have thought that I was asking for the moon. Apparently, around here if you want to get a fireplace installed, you need to get put on the waiting list at that HVAC company really early in the year. I ended up waiting for literally months to get the gas fireplace that I wanted installed in my house. It seemed like there was just one delay after another and I had a terrible time in the meantime while I was waiting to get it put in. So now, my advice to anyone who wants a new fireplace is to get in with your fireplace specialist or HVAC company early. The sooner you get started on your fireplace project, the better off you are going to be. You might even be able to get one installed this year if you’re lucky.
