I guess I made one of my volleyball friends upset and he is not talking to me anymore.
I need to find out why and try to patch it up with him because he has been a great friend of mine up until now.
I haven’t had the best of luck in my life the past few years, losing my dad and girlfriend, along with a host of other misfortunes. I guess it made me a bitter person recently and I think that is why he doesn’t talk to me anymore. We worked together at the HVAC company and became good friends, playing volleyball together and hanging out at one another’s homes for dinner and chats about the HVAC industry and where it’s headed. I think my anger comes out sometimes and makes some people not want to be around me, which is understandable but I don’t want to lose a good friend so I am going to try and make amends. He helped me install my heating and cooling system as he is a certified HVAC tech and did it all for free as a thank you to me. Yesterday was my birthday and he was the only one who didn’t wish me a happy birthday and I must say that it hurt my feelings quite a bit. The local contractor was also upset with me but I talked with him a couple weeks ago and we are friends again now. I guess I got a lot of learning to do when it comes to controlling anger and handling things with grace and dignity.
