I have had a smart thermostat going on 3 weeks now.
And I have to say that I am totally not cheerful with it.
The smart thermostat is too much of a hassle for me & my lifestyle, so I have decided that I am getting rid of it. I am going to go back to the basics of either a digital thermostat or a dial thermostat. These things are easy break n dry for me, but you do not have to control it on some ipad or cell iphone app. You just walk over to it & turn it on & your central heating & a/c proposal will work just fine. The other month I lost my cell iphone & as a result I could not use my central heating & a/c unit! It was a superb thing it happened to be a day where heating or a/c was not needed, then otherwise I would have been up the creek… Had I had a regular thermostat prefer a dial thermostat or a digital thermostat nothing prefer this would have ever happened & would not have to rely on a iphone app or ipad app just to run my central heating & a/c proposal unit. Lord knows why they even made smart thermostats. The concept is nice & great, but there are so many flaws & concerns that should be ironed out. If they ever do fix these concerns, prefer making it to where you do not need the cell iphone app to control the thermostat & the central heating & a/c proposal unit, then maybe I could give it another try.
