One chilly evening the temperature kept fluctuating, and resetting the thermostat needed fixing. I called an HVAC technician first thing the following morning because it was evident I needed help with indoor comfort. The HVAC repairman was timely, and he set to work. After inspecting the system, he told me it required furnace/heater repair. I was surprised because the unit was what one would call new. The expert then asked when was the last time I had HVAC maintenance. I told him it had never had it since its installation two years ago, and he told me it was the reason why it had developed minor problems. The tech explained more about heating equipment and why they need regular tune-ups. All the while, I thought that I would only need to contact a professional on rare occasions for repairs. It was a great learning experience, and since I wanted to prolong the device’s lifespan, I followed the instructions.
