Summer is a time when there are a lot of storms.
We frequently have rain every single afternoon.
There is usually a small shower every afternoon when the sun is at the highest point. All of the heat and humidity fill the clouds and cause it to rain; From time to time, my associate and I also have to deal with tropical storm activity and hurricanes. Hurricanes can happen anytime from June until October and as late as October or November. I have had to endure a lot of difficult rain and Summer storms, but nothing compares to the storm that my associate and I had last year. It started raining in the afternoon and it continued to rain heavily all afternoon and all night. At one point my associate and I were receiving up to 2 inches an hour. I have never seen so much rain in my life and I have lived in a wet, tropical environment for the past 25 years. After all of the rain, there was immense flooding all over the city. It flooded in my town. All of the storm drains were backed up and filled with water and there were puddles all over the town. The worst part about the storm was the damage in our garage. The garage was under a foot of water. We lost a lot of things that were sitting in boxes, including a brand current window air conditioning system. The air conditioning system was sitting in a box on the floor, waiting to be installed. Unluckyly, it started raining before I could get the work done and the flooding was completely and totally unexpected.
