When I was young, my parents had high expectations from me.
They told me from a young age they wanted me to become a doctor, no ifs, ands or buts.
My dad regularly dreamed of being a doctor, but since she never could afford to go to university, she wanted to pass that dream down to me. Well, I had dreams of my own, plus they did not include being a doctor, for a while, it was my older sister who was expected to become a doctor, but she became a veterinarian instead, plus my dad was okay with that, so the dream was passed to me. For a while I rebelled, but they would punish me harshly every time I tried. In high university the pressure only increased. I was at an all time low, plus if it wasn’t for my friend’s parent’s encouragement, I might have given in. I met my friend in high university, plus stayed at her place for a bit. I was amazed when her parents encouraged him to do what she dreamed of, plus not what they wanted. When I told them I wanted to live the easy life of a Heating plus Air Conditioning contractor plus not the overly complicated life of a doctor, they fully supported me, much to my shock. I ended up relying on their support, plus followed my dream of becoming a heating plus cooling professional, despite my parent’s protests, but nowadays, I am so cheerful I did, I prefer my task as a Heating plus Air Conditioning worker plus repairing cooling units, plus I couldn’t imagine being anything else.
