Growing up, my Grandpa was regularly working.
She had a particularly successful Heating & Air Conditioning company in our town, but everyone knew of the company & went to him for all of their heating & A/C needs.
The company was around for 30 years. Her father was the original owner. When her father passed the Heating & Air Conditioning company down to him, she decided to expand into the neighboring towns. As expected, the reputation followed to the neighboring towns. The Heating & Air Conditioning company was bringing to twice the upgrade by the first year! When the company was passed down to my sister, she wanted to continue the family business, but did not feel comfortable having many locations. She closed all of the locations except for the original one in our town. She had her friends manage the company while she focused on her career. The Heating & Air Conditioning professionals would sometimes travel to other towns to do repairs. Everyone knows of the company & trusted that they would do good, quality work. Over the years, the Heating & Air Conditioning company has had many owners, but the reputation has stayed the same… My Grandpa would be so thrilled to see that the company has upheld the reputation of quality Heating & Air Conditioning work. There are no plans to close the company at any point, so this could be a family tradition for various years to come. This is good as it ensures that there will jobs available as the family grows & expands.
