I often have to travel for my job.
I don’t like it because it takes me away from my husband and my children.
I travel at least once a week. Last week I had a very early flight out. I had to wake up at like 3 am to make it on time. I had gone to bed very early that night. I even went to bed before my kids. Not too long into my sleep my husband woke me up and told me that the air conditioning wasn’t working. He said he was getting warm and there was no cool air coming from the vents anymore. The house was getting warmer and warmer. I went downstairs to look at the thermostat. He said he pushed a bunch of buttons and nothing was happening. It was a moment like this that I wish he knew how to handle this stuff. Unfortunately I am the one who always deals with it. I had to be up in four hours to catch my plane. I was not very happy. I went to check the filter and such. Everything was okay. I gave my husband the number for the emergency repair service the HVAC company offers. I told him to call and tell them what was wrong. They would fix it. I was going back to bed. He woke me up again later that night to tell me that it was working. By that time is was just up and could not fall back asleep. Needless to say I was very tired the next day during my travels.
