Before we decided to call the professionals about a new a/c install, my partner and I looked online to see what available cooling systems were on the market! It was cool seeing the high velocity cooling systems and the demo videos.
I told my partner that it would be cool to go to a place that showed the demonstrations, to truly know the speed of which the air cools.
It was explained that they commonly showed how the furnaces and cooling systems worked, but they would show how the high velocity heating worked to heat up a room within hours, and then go to cooling, then naturally, these systems are more high-priced because you have to install brand new ductwork, and however, this genre of ductwork is more flexible and is easier to install than traditional sheet metal ductwork systems. It was overpriced, but I didn’t think it would be out of my range entirely. We looked at ductless mini split A/Cs and even geothermal heat pumps. Eventually we had an Heating and Air Conditioning expert come out and he told us the high velocity systems were great, but he recommended a ductless multi split plan for the energy efficiency. He said we would have both heating and cooling year round with extremely low energy bills, and my partner and I both agreed that sounded great, especially when he mentioned customized temperature control settings in different zones of the house. It makes sense that you can save so much money since you only have to worry about heating and cooling the areas of the home you’re using.
