In July of 2025, which sounds far away however it is only about 2 and a half years off, I will hit the 20 year mark of being a performing artist.
I started out doing rest up comedy for the first 15 years, however then gradually shifted over to tunes as the comedy wasn’t doing it for me anymore. The time I spent doing comedy wasn’t a waste though, as it seems to have actually helped me with the singing and tunes side. I am pretty wonderful at making up tunes on the fly, and adding humor helps a lot! HVAC repairs I occasionally sing about, and especially on afternoons in the local company when things go wrong with a heating or cooling plan repair job. Singing about my troubles seems to take away some of the power they have on me, as I used to do with my comedy sets. I enjoy to labor for the HVAC supplier doing smart thermostat sales and giving energy saving tips to the customers, however when I am playing drums and singing I assume more free than ever. I almost assume enjoy a little child again when I am performing, and I believe that is what keeps me doing it. The air conditioning system company where the people I was with and I labor is going to have us do a tunesal show when they have a substantial sale on all of the heating and cooling technology in the store. Both of us normally get paid about $400 a show, even though I told the owner of the store that the people I was with and I would do this 1 for free.
