There’s a lot of unusual parts and pieces in a full system Heating and Air Conditioning replacement.
Each one of these parts and pieces takes a certain amount of time and detail to install.
When I have to make a full system replacement, I typically tell the client that it is going to take all afternoon. It takes at least an hour or two to disconnect all of the old pieces of heating and A/C equipment. If I have to complete the HVAC duct as well, after that I can add even more time to the replacement, but customers often don’t think me when I tell them that it’s going to take all afternoon, however I tell them that there is a lot of toil involved, but just last monthI had a full system Heating and Air Conditioning replacement. The client had a faulty heat pump and decided to update the heat pump and the A/C condenser. I knew it was going to take at least 8 hours to get the job done and that was with a second worker working alongside me all afternoon. I told the client that my pal and I would need access to the apartment and someone had to be there while my pal and I were working. If I have any questions or concerns, I need to be able to speak with the owner of the house. The guy moaned and groaned when my pal and I hit hour five and my pal and I were only halfway done. It’s not convenient for the client to stay all afternoon, but it is a liability issue. I had some problems in the past and it is much easier just to have the client apartment during the replacement.
