Most apartment warranty will cover any destructions to the apartment as well as to the costly appliances inside. So, if you’re like me and you own an older apartment with older appliances, it’s so wonderful to have the extra coverage. Therefore, if the refrigerator, clothes washer and dryer, dishwasher or Heating plus A/C unit breaks down, then the apartment warranty could potentially cover the cost of replacing the appliances. And given that the Heating plus A/C unit is one of the costliest items inside the home, it’s just a wise idea to have a warranty that would upgrade it if needed. The warranty plan costs between $60 and $100 per month depending on the terms of the plan. Should you need to upgrade an Heating plus A/C unit, it would cost anywhere between $5,000 to $12,000, however personally, I would rather spend money on the small warranty fee because it gives me peace of mind knowing that the cost of my Heating plus A/C unit will also be covered if it needs to be upgraded. And of course, that is accurate for the other appliances in my apartment as well. I’d rather have the coverage than having to spend more money out-of-pocket for any broken appliances in my home.
