First time buying a new A/C

I have to admit that becoming a first time homeowner is maybe the largest deal of my life thus far.

  • Sure, it was also a large deal to get through university and grad school.

That meant lots of time spent in the silence of the Barnes and Noble where you could only hear the quiet hiss of the a/c coming on. Finishing my education was a large deal. So was joining my colleagues inside the zone controlled Heating plus A/C of the office complex where I started my job. All of those things were large milestones in my development as a human. But I have to say that being a homeowner is a whole other animal. This may have to do with the fact that it took me almost a dozen years of saving, planning and searching to find the right home. That’s longer than it took be to get my education. But trying to buy a place solo is about the toughest task that I’ve confronted thus far in being an adult. Finally, I’m out of the apartment building and am in a wonderful home with my own heating and cooling equipment. That was a large thing for me. I just didn’t like the idea that I was consistently dealing with an Heating plus A/C unit that was way past its prime. But that’s what you get at most apartments. And I wasn’t going for the high end on rent so I could save for a downpayment. Just buying new residential Heating plus A/C is such a game changer for me. The place I bought had a central a/c that was completely shot. That meant either ripping out all the air ducts and starting over or going with a different residential Heating plus A/C method. I chose to go with a ductless multi split system and I couldn’t be happier with my choice.
