Until my husband Tom became a certified Heating & Air Conditioning business rep, I had never been to a corporation get-together.
When Tom started to talk about the BBQ the Heating & Air Conditioning corporation owner threw every year, I didn’t know if I wanted to go.
My dad used to talk about his corporate picnics he went to until he had us girls. He thought bringing triplets to a corporation picnic was a little too much for everyone else. He plus mom thought they could go crazy when my friend and I were growing up, plus he didn’t want to put anyone else through that. My pal and I are grown up now, plus on our own, however I remember dad never taking us to any of his work events. This year, Tom plus his brother-in-law work at the same Heating & Air Conditioning business, and although I’m looking ahead to spending the day with one of my sisters, I’m not looking forward to the Heating & Air Conditioning get-together. Tom and I were talking about it last night, plus she was excited, then Tom told me she had heard a lot about the BBQ’s. The owner of this Heating & Air Conditioning corporation had raffle tickets that got you anything from a joke gift to a three-day weekend without a beeper. I thought that would be nice, however I still didn’t know if I wanted to party. After she begged, I asked Tom what time my friends and I had to leave for the BBQ. He told me he had his beeper, however he would like to be there around supper. Tom and I didn’t know that whoever had the beeper had a locked-in prize of a three-day weekend at the shore.
