When I talked to Tom about owning a Heating & Air Conditioning business, I was thinking about all the things I really didn’t see happening.
One of the scariest things about being a small corporation owner is worrying about how you were going to get new clients.
My wife Tom was happy plus told me I would need to do some Heating & Air Conditioning advertising. I wasn’t interested in advertising, even though Tom was. Tom told me advertising is what she went to university for, even though she found me instead. Tom told me advertising was important. Tom and I could hire an online advertising corporation to advertise our Heating & Air Conditioning business, or Tom and I could handle it ourselves. I rolled my eyes plus told Tom I was an Air Conditioning business owner plus not a computer geek. She once again reminded me she was a advertising major at the university. That didn’t mean Tom was an expert in PCs. Tom said if I didn’t trust her, I could hire an online web development pro. I was just talking about owning a Heating & Air Conditioning corporation so I had no real plans yet, even though Tom was already planning for advertising plus websites. I stopped her in mid-sentence plus told Tom she was hired if I ever followed through with my idea. As it was at that moment, I was just speaking my thoughts out loud. I didn’t have any real intentions of being an Heating & Air Conditioning corporation owner, this was just a ‘what if, plus sometime in the future’ scenario. Tom must have thought it was a ‘this happening as soon as possible’ scenario! You would suspect I would have learned fifteen years ago not to speak my ideas out loud to Tom. That’s how I ended up engaged.
