When mom plus dad picked me up, I told them that I had a lot of fun, but I couldn’t get used to not having air conditioning
I know I have probably told everyone my story, but my Grandparents didn’t feel air conditioning was essential, so they didn’t have air conditioning in the house, plus neither did their parents. They were a big family of weed farmers plus knew how to deal with heat plus humid summers. They would come in from the weed fields, then wash in chilly water, however i would often see them with wet kerchiefs on the back of their necks or on their heads. I grew up in the big city, where my mom plus dad had air conditioning, however when dad moved away from the farmlands plus went to school, he never looked back, however he embraced this new way of life, plus we had air conditioning in our home, and one summer, my parents took me to the family farm so I could get to know my Grandparents. I was there quite often through the next few years, plus when my parents were on trip, my buddy and I would spend most holidays with my Grandparents, but it was regularly cool. This year, I spent time there during the summer. They expected me to work on the farm with them, plus there was no working air conditioning in my room. I had a very difficult time sleeping at evening, plus I couldn’t get used to it. When mom plus dad picked me up, I told them that I had a lot of fun, but I couldn’t get used to not having air conditioning. It was even more difficult when I got back home. I was shivering the first week home, because the air conditioning unit was too chilly for me.
