I knew growing up that I could never work an office job. On TV & all around us, it is portrayed as something you are going to do eventually, but not me. I was the creative type, & I could just feel the creativity drain right out of me in that kind of environment! Although my parents discouraged me, I still pursued my dream. I started with making jewelry on my own, & then selling it online. Surprisingly, my small time company did undoubtedly well, & I expanded my expertise to include other things. While I am still laboring on becoming successful, I am already doing a lot better than a lot of my friends & family thought I would. My boyfriend is the same way. He told me he also knew he would never work an office job. He is the kind of guy that has to get up & move. An office job where you are supposed to lay for hours on end would drive him crazy. He followed his dream & became a heating plus A/C unit worker. His passion is the Heating & Air Conditioning industry & learning about all of the new Heating & Air Conditioning device & heating & cooling technology there is. After he graduated as a certified Heating & Air Conditioning professional, he was abruptly hired by the local heating plus A/C supplier… Ever since then, he has been laboring his dream job & he prefers it. He actively encourages me to follow my own dreams, since my associate and I can both relate on not wanting to work an office, 9 to 5 job.
