Choosing a hybrid furnace

Living in Ashtabula, Ohio, my pal and I experience four distinct seasons.

  • The summers tend to be sizzling plus humid with hot plus cold temperatures in the high eighties or even low nineties.

The winter time brings snow plus below-chilly conditions. The fall plus Spring are unpredictable. My good friend and I often get hit with high winds plus rainstorms, and for the majority of the year, my pal and I require some type of indoor temperature control. My good friend and I switch from heating to cooling with legitimately little split in-between. The cost of heating plus cooling accounts for approximately fifty percent of our household energy usage. To minimize expense plus carbon footprint, an energy efficient heating plus cooling method is a priority. When my husband plus I built our new home, the new cooling plus furnace upgrade was a big consideration. My good friend and I wanted to choose a system that would meet the demands of the weather, give healthy indoor air quality plus keep us perfectly comfortable. Although a bigger investment, my pal and I decided on a hybrid furnace. This type of operation combines a gas heating system with an electric heat pump. A heat pump works by moving existing heat between the indoors plus the outdoors. During the Summer months, it acts just like an cooling system. When the weather cools down, the heat pump literally reverses the flow of refrigerant. It takes fortune of ambient heat available in the outdoor air plus transfers it indoors. This process is especially environmentally friendly, safe plus clean. It also costs much less to run than the heater. When the outdoor temperature dips below chilly, the heat pump begins to struggle. At that point, the heating system automatically takes over plus runs for as long as needed. The hybrid combination was the perfect option for a new furnace upgrade in Ashtabula.
