My parents have typically wanted to turn their three automobile garage into a game room.
- In order to do so, they would need to to build a wall to cover the garage doors.
They do not want to utilize the garage doors at all. They would also need to add more lighting, carpet, and an Heating, Ventilation plus A/C system. They want to be able to use this area for guests traveling in the area, as well. Adding Heating, Ventilation plus A/C to a garage is not an easy task. They abruptly learned that they would need to hire a team of professionals to install heating and A/C units to the garage. The ultimate plan would be for the garage to be a location for visitors to stay long term and in a few years, move my Moms mother into the garage… Granny was getting old and they knew they would need a plan in location when the time came that Granny was no longer able to live by herself. His dementia was getting entirely terrible and my Mom knew that time was going to come soon. The cost of the addition would be less than having Granny live in an assisted residing facility. The Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier that did the upgrade was quick and professional. My Mom does not know much about heating and cooling, but after assisting in the upgrade, he learned quite a bit about the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C industry, several years have gone by since the garage renovation and my Mom still refers the Heating, Ventilation plus A/C supplier to do toil on other peoples homes.
