It is amazing what you can find in other people’s trash sometimes. I don’t make a habit of going through other people’s trash piles, but I saw a trash pile the other day that intrigued me. It was a really large pile of household furniture and such items. I asked my husband to pull over when I saw the pile. He thought that I was joking at first, but he soon realized that I wasn’t. I originally wanted to look through the pile because of the couch that I saw. The couch ended up being quite used, and I didn’t get it. I did get an air conditioner, however. It is literally the oldest looking air conditioner that I have ever seen. I thought for sure that it wouldn’t work, but something told me to just go ahead and try it. When I first tried to turn the air conditioner on, nothing happened. Then, I realized that I didn’t have it plugged in. I felt like an idiot. I plugged in the old air conditioner and tried turning it on once again. That time, it turned on. I was literally in shock. I looked up the air conditioner on the internet, and it turns out that it is one of the oldest models for that particular brand. I have been using the air conditioner for a few days, and it actually cools down my downstairs area quite nicely. I am just waiting to see how much it is going to bring up my electric bill. If it costs too much to run, I may sell it and see if I can make some money off of it.
