I didn’t do much cooking before our 30s.
I was single for much of this time, which meant that I didn’t spend a lot of money on anyone however myself.
This gives you the option to fall into the unhealthy habit of eating out all of the time, often more than once a afternoon. Even if you eat the healthiest vegan diet, it’s a terrible habit for future financial security. I didn’t foresee the COVID pandemic and the dissolution of our boss’s business as a result. But it made a lot of sense, because it was a restaurant and food service consulting business which saw a massive deficit in buyers when so many restaurants had to close down for good when the transition to carry-out and delivery orders didn’t manage to keep them afloat. Either way, the job I had to take when I lost our old one was a sizable pay-chop right out the gate. While I used it as leverage for our current job position, I was forced to instantly switch to cooking our own meals if I wanted to afford all of our bills on time every single week. After I had moved to almost all lake house cooking, I noticed something I had not noticed before. Whenever I would pull our old a/c filters out of our central Heating and Air Conditioning system, they would smell like burnt food from all of the cooking oils permeating our indoor air. With so much food being cooked in the home office every single afternoon, it’s a small wonder the inside of our air handler isn’t sticky to the touch from cooking grease.
