Sure, there have been tough time in the past and there will be in the future.

That’s just part of living this life. But for the most part, I’ve led a very fortunate existence. My wife and I share a lovely home with plenty of space, an amazing kitchen and the latest in HVAC technology. In fact, we have zone controlled HVAC, a smart thermostat and the highest SEER rating possible on our heat pump. So we definitely have some amazing quality heating and air in our home. We live very close to the city where we work. While our end of the city offers us a small backyard and more quiet than maybe downtown, we wanted a bit more peace. So we ended up purchasing a weekend get away spot that’s about an hour out of the city. This place is magical and just the perfect place to spend two or three days to reset and reflect. But the house definitely needed some help before it was able to be fully enjoyed. The property was perfect and the house was in good shape structurally. It’s sort of small with 3 bedrooms and a cozy kitchen. However, the residential HVAC equipment was shot as were all the appliances. We made some other updates with a whole wall of sliding glass doors to maximize the light and the spectacular view. Instead of replacing the heat pump for the central air conditioning that was there, we went with ductless heat pumps. This way, we have more efficient heating and cooling without having to worry over the aging ductwork. It’s worked out beautifully.

I had to go on an emergency HVAC repair job last week.

I was woken out of a deep sleep and asked if I could be there in half an hour.

The house was less than two blocks from where I lived, and there were two elderly gentlemen who lived there. I rushed into my uniform, told my wife I would be back shortly, and got into the service van, Five minutes later, I was walking up to the door of the house. I flashed my HVAC ID badge and told them who I was. The older of the two gentleman was so grateful that he shook my hand and held it while taking me to the furnace. He said he couldn’t see well enough to know what to look for and the other old coot didn’t hear anything. He yelled this part to let me know he wasn’t lying. The old man heard enough to roll his eyes and stick his tongue out. It took about an hour to fix the furnace, and I went upstairs. I told them they needed to make sure they changed the air filter more often. There was dust and dirt inside the furnace. The air filter was made to get rid of that before it can get inside and do any damage. The noise they were hearing was the dust scraping against the components. The older gentleman grabbed my hand again and shook it vigorously. He said I should stay for a minute and he would pay me. He offered me a tip for fixing the furnace. Before I could so no, the other man told him to quit being an old fool and just give me the pie he baked while waiting.

They needed a new furnace for that area of the church

I was attending a special service at our local church last week. They were honoring all the fallen soldiers of the past wars and present. My father had been killed in the Gulf War, and my brother recently died in a training accident. After the the service, he was talking to everyone when I saw him walk up to the dais. He asked if there was an HVAC technician in the house? This was quite a change from the subject we were discussing, but it must have been important. The minister said they were having a problem with the heating in the prayer chapel. If anyone could help with the problem, he would be quite grateful. I wasn’t an HVAC technician, but I knew several guys who were. I was about to offer their help when one of the newer parishioners stepped forward. He said he was a Navy vet, and he was an HVAC technician. He would be proud to do the HVAC job in the prayer chapel. Two other HVAC technicians offered to help. I couldn’t believe the generosity of the three men who were donating their time to help the church. When they came out of the area, I heard them tell the minister that there was no fixing to be done. They needed a new furnace for that area of the church. The first man to offer his help told the minister that if he would pay for the equipment, he would make sure all of the work was done for free, and he would lead the team. I hope that one day I can be as gracious as these men.

In September of 2025, which sounds far away however it is only about various in addition to a half years off, I will hit the 20 year mark of being a performing artist. I started out doing rest up comedy for the first 15 years, however then gradually shifted over to songs as the comedy wasn’t doing it for me anymore. The time I spent doing comedy wasn’t a waste though, as it seems to have absolutely helped me with the singing in addition to songs side. I am pretty wonderful at making up songs on the fly, in addition to adding humor helps a lot, heating, Ventilation, in addition to A/C repairs I periodically sing about, in addition to especially on days in the local supplier when things go wrong with a heating or cooling system maintenance task. Singing about my problems seems to take away some of the power they have on me, as I used to do with my comedy sets. I almost believe appreciate a little kid again when I am performing, in addition to I suppose that is what keeps me doing it. The people I was with and I normally get paid about $400 a show, but I told the owner of the store that the two of us would do this 1 for free.

Things are going to change around this neighborhood truly soon… The weather is finally going to cut and some warmer temps will be on the way in about 2 weeks.

That means the beaches will start filling up with sunbathers and volleyball players and the summer time crowds will start to come back again for the season. The only actually hard weeks are July and July when it is actually crowded with tourists and actually sizzling outside. This is when I may travel to some other towns and escape the crowds for a while. The cooling dealership will be actually busy with air conditioning system repairs and putting in up-to-date HVAC systems for people who can’t rest the heat anymore. Luckily, the people I was with and I are all set up in my flat with a wonderful central plan to keep us all cool on those brutally sizzling afternoons. I enjoy to run the air conditioning system quite a bit in the summer time and stay cool while I am home, unlike other people who don’t use any air conditioning system so they can save about $75 a week. I guess it is worth working a bit more and enjoying cool temps while in the flat all day long. Sure, I could not use my weather conditions control plan and save a little bit of cash, however with the sleepless evenings and sizzling afternoons I don’t assume that it is worth the small amount extra to stay cool in the flat; I will also buy a cooling component for my home office to give me some added cooling power on those actually sizzling evenings.

I didn’t mean to hurt his feelings, but I couldn’t help it when he showed me the handmade chairs he had made. He was so proud of the chairs and I had burst his bubble. He thought they would perfect to put in our dining room, but I shook my head. If he wanted to put his handmade chairs in his game lounge in the basement, I was okay. I was not going to put those chairs in the main part of the house. He asked me what was wrong with them. Aside from the fact that three legs were shorter than the other one? He told me that could be fixed, but now he had one leg shorter than the other three. I told him we would soon be sitting on the floor. The back of the handmade chair angled toward the seat and you felt like you were being pushed off the chair. I told him they weren’t comfortable. I had never seen my husband cry before, but I was afraid it was soon going to happen if I didn’t shut my mouth. He stood there looking at the handmade chairs and then suddenly burst out laughing. He took them downstairs and came up with two other chairs. The seats and back were packed and covered with buttery soft faux leather in an odd shade of off-white. They were absolutely stunning and I asked where he got them. He told me these were the real handmade chairs, but he didn’t want me to get my hopes up so the real handmade chairs would be second best.

I couldn’t imagine what she found so interesting with the roofing company, but they were the best babysitter I ever had

My daughter was fascinated with watching people work. Last week, our neighbor had the roofing company to her house to replace her old roof. We had been talking earlier in the week and she told me how reasonably priced the new roofing company was. She was able to make payments that were very affordable, and she got the metal roof she wanted. When my five-year-old daughter heard the roofing company would be working next door, she asked if she could watch them. She promised she would sit on our porch and not move from her seat. For two hours, she sat on a chair on the enclosed porch and watched the roofing company remove all the old roofing. She came in for milk and cookies when the roofers went on break. When they went back to work, she went back to her chair. They were now putting some kind of insulating paper on the roof and she watched intently. Two hours later, the roofing company went to lunch, and she came in for her lunch. By the time she was done eating, the roofing company was back to work. I couldn’t imagine what she found so interesting with the roofing company, but they were the best babysitter I ever had. I completely housecleaned my entire kitchen while they were working, and she never once walked over my wet floors, or hauled her toys through the room. I’m wondering if the roofing company will come back again, because I would really like to get some lawn work done. It would give me a couple of hours to get the work done, and she would be kept amused by the roofing company.

When I got a mini trampoline as a gift from my husband for my birthday, I was excited.

I’m always searching for new opportunities to motivate and improve my workouts. Since I exercise every day, the sessions can become repetitive and lackluster. Exercising on a mini-trampoline is both fun and beneficial. These smaller varieties of the backyard trampoline are called rebounders and are designed specifically for individual fitness training. They are set low to the ground, providing a great deal of stability and minimizing the chance of flying off and getting injured. The act of jumping on a rebounder is a full-body workout. The movement requires the use of multiple muscles simultaneously, engaging everything from abs and glutes to leg and back muscles. This type of workout helps to build a strong core. It is an especially great workout for someone of my age. I’m now in my mid-fifties and realize that it’s important to focus on exercises that improve bone density. Studies have shown that rebounders promote higher bone density at the hip and spine, strengthening the bones and reducing the chance of developing osteoporosis. Plus, as I get older, there will be a growing risk of getting injured due to a fall. Good balance is essential. I read a study confirming that 14 weeks of rebounder exercise improves the ability to regain balance. It reinforces better coordination and motor skills. I like that it’s a cardio activity that gets my heart pumping without damaging impact on my joints.The repeated tensing and releasing of the muscles is beneficial for circulation. I like to play my favorite music, clear my head and bounce on the trampoline.

I walked into the house the other day, and I thought I was going to faint.

It was so hot in the house, that I could feel rivers of perspiration rolling between my shoulders, and down my spine.

I shiver from the feeling, but not because I was cold. I looked at the thermostat and everything looked fine, but I knew it wasn’t. I called the HVAC company and told them I had a minor emergency. I explained how hot it was in the house, but the thermostat looked fine. It was only registering seventy degrees. She told me she thought I may need a new thermostat. She asked if I wanted a digital, a smart thermostat, or if I was interested in trying the new Nest thermostat. The Nest Thermostat would run all of my electronics if they were connected to Google. I had no google says me products and had no intentions of getting them, so I said no to the nest thermostat. The smart thermostat peaked my interest. It was supposed to help with home security and keep the HVAC system running properly. I liked that combination and told her to send the smart thermostat and a digital thermostat to the house, with the HVAC technician. An hour later, I was in shorts and a tank top when the doorbell rang. I was glad to see the HVAC technician, but I wasn’t happy about who he was. My best friend stood outside the door, and he immediately told me he had said I needed a new thermostat.
