A lot of my friends and family thought that I was crazy when I said that I was going to move to a remote part of the country. I did not want to live by the rules like the rest of society. I wanted to live off the grid. It’s hard to live off the grid, so you have to be very well prepared. I bought a tiny house on wheels and I dropped it up with all of the essentials that a person might need for 6 months of survival. I have just enough room for all of the things that I need and there really isn’t a lot of room for anything extra. I have all of my hunting stuff under the bed and my fishing gear is outside. I live off the land whenever possible. The only time I talk to people in the city is when I go to the store for staples.. the day after I came home from the store this month, I had a problem with the furnace in the house. I tried every troubleshooting method I could think of and find on the internet, but nothing seemed to help. I called the closest furnace repair shop. It’s a 50 mile drive from my remote location. The owner of the furnace repair shop was happy to help me out, but he could not get to me until tuesday. It was Friday when I called. I contacted a couple of other places, but this particular furnace repair provider was the only one willing to come all the way out to the remote area. My only option was to wait.

My mom is always the first person to get up in the morning.

She has been living with me for the past 3 years. She had a stroke and was unable to care for herself. Since then I have gotten used to having my mom around. When she wakes up in the morning, she usually has some toast, eggs, and coffee. After that, she sits down in front of the TV and watches the news. I wake up after my mom. I was very surprised that my mom woke me up yesterday morning. She doesn’t wake me up unless there is a phone call, but I did not hear the phone ring at all. My mom told me there was a problem with the furnace. It was making a strange rattling sound. I got out of bed, but I did not hear any weird noises. My mom told me that she turned off the furnace because it was so loud and annoying. It was hard for me to pinpoint the reason for the noise when I didn’t have anything to listen to. I turned the furnace back on so I could hear the drain rattling sound for myself. I removed the front of the furnace and I clearly saw a piece of metal moving around inside of the area where the furnace is located. I turn the furnace off and I grab a flashlight, screwdriver, and a pair of pliers. I started looking at all of the different components near the piece of metal. It honestly did not seem to be very important at all. I secured the piece of loose metal with some duct tape. So far, it seems like the duct tape worked, because the rattling sound has not happened again since then.

I like being able to sleep in a comfortable space. When I am at home, I sleep in the bedroom with the door closed and the lights off. I don’t like to have any light at all when I am going to take it. I also like the temperature to be cold and chilly. Sleeping with the AC on high makes me more comfortable. A couple of years ago, I had to make some repairs to my home heating and air conditioning system. At that time, I decided to add a ductless HVAC system to my home. I added the ductless HVAC unit to the bedroom. I don’t even have to worry about the home heating and cooling system, because the ductless unit in the bedroom works well enough to cool the entire space. My girlfriend came over to spend the night a couple of weeks ago and it was the first time that she ever spent the night. She was very uncomfortable. She complained about the cold and chilly temperatures in the bedroom and she actually wanted me to turn off the ductless air conditioner. I was stuck between a rock and a hard place, because of course I did not want to turn off that air conditioner. I attempted to reason with my girlfriend. I put the temperature at 70 instead of 68. That stopped her from complaining for an hour or two, but she woke up in the middle of the night and said that she was going home unless I turned off the air conditioner. It was tough to see her leave at 3:00 in the morning, but I needed to get a good night of rest for work the next day.

This winter, it’s been pretty cold outside.

Because of the outside thermostat, I am living my life slightly differently than I normally do.

Because I live in the south, I really don’t have to have a lot of winter clothing. And I don’t. This year, though, I have found myself going to the discount stores and buying quite a few sweaters. I have numerous sweaters now that I did not have before Thanksgiving. Another thing I am doing is using the heater much more than I usually do. I have turned my central heating and cooling switch from cooling to heating. I admit that I am quite spoiled and that being able to use the center is really quite simple and convenient. I know that other people in the world do not have access to such convenient Heating, and I do not take it for granted. Another thing I am doing is utilizing my heated floors and my fireplace. The heated flooring that I had installed several years back has never really been used all that much, but this year I am using it all the time. I think it helps my central heating system have to work less, therefore costing me less money. My fireplace is being used as a source of heating as well. Normally I only use it because I think it looks pretty, but this year I am trying to sit close to it much more often. My dog loves to join me over there and curl up in front of that gorgeous fireplace! Another thing that I am doing is using the oven as a heater. Of course I do not recommend that you just turn on the oven and open the door. Of course not! However, I did cook a turkey the day before Christmas Eve, and when that turkey was done cooking, I left the oven door open. It served as a sort of temporary heater in my kitchen, and I loved it. Once the heating stops coming out of it, I simply shut the door.

I don’t guess I had ever given any thought to the oil furnace & what would happen if both of us lost power. The oil furnace used oil as its fuel, & I didn’t guess electricity was used; When a giant storm went through our area more than one days before Christmas, I was left with no power, & no heat. I sat in the home shivering, & wondering what I was going to do. I called the HVAC company, however they said there was nothing they could do to get our heat back on, until the electricity was turned on. I sat in our house, & I was angry, & cold. I wished I had bought the space gas furnace when I first thought about it. The space gas furnace may not have warmed up our home, however it would keep me comfortable in a single room. I looked around the house, & thought it wasn’t too late to purchase a space heater. I headed into town, however the home center was closed because they didn’t have power either. I ended up going to our mom’s home, & staying there until the electricity was restored. I was able to get our oil furnace running, however it didn’t help to keep our pipes from cold. I called the plumber to have our pipes repaired, & then I called the homeowners insurance company. I had to have the HVAC get our oil furnace running again, however that was the least of our concerns. I was cheerful I decided to go to our mom’s however I could have saved the pipes if I had bought that space gas furnace a week ago when I saw them on sale.

If the dust was still coming out afterward, we had a more hard concern to deal with. I rolled our eyeah when I saw our child seeing me.
