I assume I can relate to just how tough that is.

There were plenty of people who I knew that wound up needing to sell their homes because they could no longer afford them. That’s not the case with me because I live in a home with mediocre residential Heating and Air Conditioning. I was ready for a brand new heating and cooling system it would have come with a change of address. Still, I did not have enough income and had to scramble in order to make ends meet. But occasionally out of what seems to be utter chaos comes just what you need. I was free from the commercial Heating and Air Conditioning in the office. And I decided to go out on our own which is something I had wanted to do for a very long time. I was genuinely thinking about all of the freedom and liberation as I was walking out of the commercial Heating and Air Conditioning in the office for the last time. I did get some severance pay as I’ve been there for over a decade. So I took that money and started our own consulting business. To keep the overhead costs to a bare minimum, I started it in that apartment. That’s been numerous years now and I am cheerful to say that I am a homeowner these days. That’s how good the supplier has turned out to be. While I’ve hired 3 more people, the people I was with and I are still doing things remotely from the central air conditioning of our homes. It felt as if there was always an implied promise that if I do the right thing, the right thing will happen. And that would be Rex, the new animal I got once our marriage was over and I was out on our own. But that Winter away was so interesting. It was very good heating with a wood stove. But I was also fortunate to have a ductless heating pump when I would let the fire die out. It was great to spend time alone with Rex and not be afraid to just sit in our feelings. I prefer that chalet and I’m glad that it was such a wholesome sanctuary for me last winter.

I honestly have always tried my best to be a great neighbor. And that’s because I have always enjoyed having great neighbors. In fact, I adore being the sort of villager that others can depend upon. I am more than cheerful to lend a hand. Yet, there’s 1 single associate who lives a few houses down that is the epitome of an awful neighbor. Al is the sort of woman that makes me quicken our step so I can get inside the air conditioner of our home. I just want to go from the air conditioner of the car to our front door separate from that woman catching me. Al is the sort that just goes on and on about a single grievance after another. Okay, so Ed and I totally just made a lot of money off selling the family home. But that’s sort of what Ed and I had in mind all along. We are just fortunate and grateful to have such great timing. It was nice having that new Heating and Air Conditioning device as Ed and I packed up to move, we’re currently renting until Ed and I decide just where the people I was with and I want to go what Ed and I want to do. But I can assure you that once Ed and I were in our new rental home Ed and I took the nicest vacation we have ever had in our lives.

I think that the weather surely should have held more weight when I was making our decisions.

I seemed to consider just about everything except the fact that I was going to deal with an honestly extreme winter.

I considered a few other details when it came to taking this new position, but the single thing I honestly never supplied enough thought to was moving to a locale that a gas oil furnace runs all the time; Through our entire life, the Wintertide has been mild with a little bit of help from the heating pump, then so perhaps I should have considered the Wintertide weather up north a bit more before agreeing to relocate… I was quite fortunate to find a home that suited our needs just a few weeks after I was moving in… My home is a small numerous study room home which is great since it’s just me! The previous owner genuinely replaced the residential Heating and Air Conditioning prior to placing it on the market to be sold. This meant that I at least had a good gas oil furnace from the first day. For sure, there is really only this one life to live. And to take that thought a bit further, each moment is really all that we have. It’s a sort of a new mantra for me. Honestly, for the first time in my life I’m coming to understand just what having one life to live actually means. I think working so much inside the commercial HVAC of my fancy office stole some perspective. I’m not going to get it into regrets about my choices. But for me, I’d had enough of that sort of life. By the time I was in my mid fifties, I had the corner office with my own thermostat. This was really something for me and I had worked hard to attain that level. And having my own HVAC thermostat was pretty fancy. But when I look at it now, it all seems so empty. All that work, energy and sacrifice to just have more stuff and better HVAC in my office seemed empty. I just couldn’t do it anymore and I finally walked out of the commercial HVAC and left it to somebody else. I knew it was going to be interesting and life was going to come with a lot of changes now. I was also no longer married so it was just me and the rest of my life. I upgraded the HVAC equipment in my new condo in order to have a great home office. The ductless heat pump in my new home office is just fantastic. I’m loving doing some freelance consulting as well as teaching a bit about my industry at the local Community College. My life is much simpler now but I still do enjoy that great HVAC inside my office.

And that has everything to do with how harried it can be around my house. I feel like my life is just a constant attempt to get to the next thing. I’m never enjoying enough time to get anything done completely. Just sitting in the air conditioning after work with a glass of wine would be incredible. But I have to do stuff like get the ductwork cleaning done. After more than a decade of living in our house, I finally called the HVAC company. But then I got a coupon in the mail from our HVAC company offering a great price on ductwork cleaning. So I called up the HVAC company and booked an appointment. The HVAC crew came out just a day later to do the work. The HVAC professionals were so careful in my house. They made taking care of my stuff and keeping the house clean their priority. Now the ductwork cleaning is done and the ductwork joints have been resealed. So not only do I have clean HVAC air ducts but I’ll enjoy better HVAC efficiency thanks to the ductwork resealing. I’m so glad that I was able to utilize that coupon for the HVAC ductwork cleaning package. It’s a big bonus to finally get that done and saving money on it sure feels good too.

That’s why I last spring we decided to start the HVAC cooling much later.

When it comes to the hum drum of life, I can always count on my husband to keep things exciting. Is just so much day to day stuff that we all have to deal with so why not make it interesting. This is the way we look at life in order to not get too serious about it. We’d rather be out there in life than inside the air conditioning worrying. So embracing our challenges in a fun way is something that we both feel good about. This past spring, we decided to commit to challenge each other when it came to saving on the HVAC cooling. Those costs can be higher around here and have especially been high in our home. Since it’s just the two of us and our pets, we were spending far too much on HVAC cooling. And it was really more out of just not paying enough attention. We just left the thermostat wherever we happen to leave it and then just paid whatever it cost when it came to utilities. Our summer comes with so much heat and humidity we’ve always overdone it with the HVAC cooling. But all that time of the air conditioning doesn’t really allow your body to acclimate to the heat at all. It just makes the heat feel even more oppressive once you’re outside of the central air conditioning. That’s why I last spring we decided to start the HVAC cooling much later. We waited all the way to the first week of June to leave the air conditioning on throughout the day. And we stuck to our thermostat discipline. The challenge paid off because we saved a bunch of money and applied that to a really great vacation this fall.
