I had been trying a bunch of different brand air filters lately to see which is the best so I can decide on a brand to buy in bulk.

Because when you buy air filters in bulk you can actually save money in the long run.

And what I shockingly found was that the cheap air filters were actually the best! I am talking in terms of not having to change them for a few months, the fact that they improved the air quality in my home and overall just saved me money without buying in bulk. I was not expecting that. These cheap air filters are even slightly better than the great HEPA air filters for my central heating and air conditioning system. So it looks like I am going to be buying these cheap air filters in bulk. I do still have some HEPA air filters left from trying those too. I am going to make sure and use them up before I go in and buy the cheap great air filters in bulk. I do not want to waste good air filters. The air filters that were horrible I am just going to throw away. No sense in using them when they do my house, my central heating and air conditioning system as well as my air quality no good! I would rather just use the HEPA air filters and then the rest of the cheap air filters that are great which I am going to be buying in bulk once all is used up.

My current one is just too darn loud! Every single time it is running it sounds like a big truck is outside.

It tends to sometimes even keep me awake at night. My central heating and air conditioning system unit has always been noisy. But it seems to be getting worse. I have had a smart thermostat going on 3 months now. And I have to say that I am totally not happy with it. The smart thermostat is too much of a hassle for me and my lifestyle, so I have decided that I am getting rid of it. I am going to go back to the basics of either a digital thermostat or a dial thermostat. These things are easy cut n dry for me. You do not have to control it on some computer or cell phone app. You just walk over to it and turn it on and your central heating and air conditioning system will work just fine. The other week I lost my cell phone and as a result I could not use my central heating and air conditioning system! It was a good thing it happened to be a day where heating or air conditioning was not needed. Otherwise I would have been up the creek. Had I had a regular thermostat like a dial thermostat or a digital thermostat nothing like this would have ever happened and would not have to rely on a phone app or computer app just to run my central heating and air conditioning system unit. Lord knows why they even made smart thermostats. The concept is nice and great, but there are so many flaws and issues that should be ironed out. If they ever do fix these issues, like making it to where you do not need the cell phone app to control the thermostat and the central heating and air conditioning system unit, then maybe I could give it another try.

I can tell you that the other week I lost my cell phone somewhere in my house.

• It was simply misplaced and not stolen.

But as a result of not being able to find my phone I could not control my smart thermostat. Which this is exactly what I had to do for a whole day and night because my phone was lost. Finally I found it the next morning in the most odd place. I will make sure to never do such a thing again. I am going to be way more careful with where I put my cell phone and make sure I never misplace it again. That app on the cell phone is a very important thing to get the best out of the smart thermostat without a question of a doubt. I will for sure be way more careful the next time.

When I was 18 years old I took all of my money out of the bank just to spend at the big Black Friday Sale.

These days stores hold Black Friday sales all through the month of November, but back then it was a one-day-only sales event. I had my eye on a new flat screen TV, the nicest on the market at the time. I got in line at midnight on Thanksgiving and waited for 8 hours for the store to open. It was a very different era! Today all the biggest sales are done online, and I never have to wait in line. Even my local HVAC contractor is offering discounts for online purchases on Black Friday! I was one of the few who knew about this flash sale ahead of time. After all, no one would expect an HVAC company to have any special deals for Black Friday. A few weeks ago I was at the bar and saw Mike, the HVAC tech who handles my inspection every year. I commented that I was due for a heating and cooling tune-up, and he drunkenly told me that I should wait a few weeks. If I signed up for the annual HVAC service plan on Black Friday I would get 50% off the price. That would basically pay for the entire HVAC inspection all at once, and I would still get another tune-up later in the year, plus discounts on their other services. I am waiting patiently until I can get the bargain price on the HVAC service plan, and then I will take full advantage of the savings.
