I don’t think the inconsistent temperature helps with our energy consumption either because I’m consistently needing to power something on or off. My a/c and oil furnace need to completely reboot after they’ve been turned off for multiple minutes and that requires a lot of energy. I find myself longing for a consistent temperature so that I can leave our oil furnace or a/c on so our house isn’t a odd temperature every time.
