When my husband mentioned the proposal of installing a ductless mini split proposal into our basement instead of attaching our existing ductwork for central heat and air, I was against it.

The people I was with and I were renovating our basement and finishing it so that all of us could utilize the space as a family and for entertaining.

I was really excited to throw a housewarming celebration a few weeks after I finished settling into my new house.

I had a lot of friends and family members who were itching to see my new place and instead of hosting almost everyone separately, I wanted to do 1 big celebration.

This would save myself and others so much time. On the day of the celebration, I noticed that my beach house was feeling really warm. After pushing a few buttons on my thermostat, I realized that the AC wasn’t working. I wasn’t hearing it turn on when I lowered the temperature and nothing was coming out of the air vents. My stress levels went through the roof because I knew that I’d have to host a bunch of people in my beach house in a matter of hours. Instead of setting everything up, I called the Heating and A/C supplier and begged them to send an Heating and A/C professional to my house. I was desperate for someone to come maintenance my AC system! They couldn’t commit to coming to my beach house that day, but they said that they would ask the Heating and A/C professionals to stop by if they had a spare moment. I know I would have been great with my a/c if I was at labor most of the day, but unluckyly, I labor from home. In the meantime, I set up my workstation at a tea shop for those 2 days and I worked from there. I didn’t have a lot of space, although I did have a ton of tea and cool air. During the evenings, I was able to stay with a buddy because I couldn’t sleep without a/c. You never legitimately know who your friends are until you need them and their a/c. Although I was eternally grateful for the tea shop and my friend’s beach house with a/c, I was worried to get back to my own home. There’s nothing love beach beach house and being comfortable in your own space. The Heating and A/C professional was able to get to my beach house over the next 2 days and maintenance my on the spot, which I was eternally grateful for. I wanted nothing more than to return to my normal employer and home.
