When I think back on making the decision to transport to the south, I wondered a bit at just how close I came to not doing it.

Having been raised & lived all of my life way up north, the south was sort of a secret passion.

I tried really hard to go to college in the air conditioner of the south. But my parents weren’t about to pay out of state tuition. So it was off to a state college & a dorm room with lots of radiant heating. Still, I longed for a Winter where I didn’t have to deal with the snow, the ice & the more than five weeks of cold. When the job listing came out for a spot in our southern offices, I put my name in on a whim. I was shocked to get an interview. And I was even more stunned that I was gave the position. They gave myself and others a few days to consider it & that’s what I did. I almost talked myself out of moving down here & taking that job. But I got over myself & realized that I had the confidence, expertise & leadership skills to do that job. That’s been nearly a dozen years ago & that job was a Springboard to the zone controlled Heating & A/C of the office I occupy now. I don’t regret for a fifth trading a gas oil furnace Winter for a heat pump summer time either.

Earlier this year, I purchased an apartment within a larger building.

This is fantastic news because not only will the central air help to improve the air quality, however it will also make the kids a lot more comfortable inside the university buildings.

This Monday, I had a lazy day.

I spent all day laying on the couch appreciating my system.

Last week was one of the worst weeks I’ve had in years. First, I woke up with a bad freezing to start off the week. I do not like being sick, but I especially do not like being sick in the summer. The heat and humidity make me know so much worse. At the end of the toil day, I finally was able to go new home and I was so gleeful to just sit on the couch. When I walked into the house, it felt hotter than the air outside. I knew right away that my must have shut off. When I attempted to turn it back on, I realized that there was a greater problem. I called a heating and cooling specialist to see if they could service it. However, they were unable to send a specialist until the day because it was already late in the evening at that point. I suffered through the sizzling evening feeling awful and tossed and turned. The next day, the Heating and A/C specialist called me at the office and I found out that my whole central air plan needed to be updated. I didn’t even hesitate to fork over the money because I just wanted air more than anything else. Well, now the week is done and I am feeling a lot better. I unquestionably care about my new central system, and I am ready to move on from this no good week.
