Well, I know it may be time to hang up my volleyball shoes and call it a career.

I didn’t start playing until I was 25 years old.

Now that I’m turning 56, my body is telling me it’s time to stop. I really don’t want to quit, but I’m afraid that if I keep playing, I won’t be able to run or even walk for long. However, my knees don’t have cartilage and grind and hurt after I play, so I can either get knee updates from a local business, which I don’t want to do at all, or stop playing. If my knees are bad, I won’t be able to do my job as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) tech, so I have to be brave and give up the hobby I loved so much, or else I won’t be able to do my job at the Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) supplier. I will put all of my time and energy into music, since I’m a drummer in a band and I know that can be my modern volleyball. The heating supplier was there when I started playing, but she had to stop playing a few years ago when she couldn’t carry heat pumps from the back of the store, where my coworker and I worked. I know I’m now doing the same thing and need to do the same thing so that I don’t spend my later years in a wheelchair next to a beach watching teenagers play. How sad would that be? I’m going to go buy a HEPA filter, so see ya.

After that, my coworker and I will eat dinner and then get on the yoga mat while I listen to my Spanish stories.

I am getting better at speaking the language, and I know that if I keep at it for a few more months, I will be able to talk to the locals pretty well. I just need to make one more big push with my practice, and I’ll be ready to go. I’ve been living overseas for about seven years, but I’ve been putting off learning the language until recently. I was going to classes at a local company every week, but after breaking up with my Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning specialist girlfriend, I lost a bit of motivation to keep learning the language. But now I’m back on track and have been practicing every day for the past month or two. My heating supplier is also helping me learn Spanish by only talking to me in Spanish when my coworker and I are working on an air conditioner or space furnace in the shop. I like learning the language and can’t wait until I can join in the talk after a volleyball game with all the other players. Anyway, today is just like any other day. This morning was a little rough because I didn’t have water or electricity, but now I’m back on track and getting my work done for the day… You don’t realize how much you use water and electricity until they are gone, and wow am I glad they are back on again. Now my grilled cheese is warming up and life is making sense again, but this married woman asking me for my iPhone number yesterday and then sending me a lot of texts last night doesn’t make sense. She is married to a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) rep who works with me, so I don’t get it. He goes away for months at a time, and maybe their marriage is falling apart, but I don’t want to be a homewrecker, so I’m trying to stay out of it. Since I broke up with my cooling tech girl over a year ago, I haven’t dated anyone in 16 months, but I still won’t lower my standards and be that other man. I’ve been living kind of like a Buddhist monk, except that I drink a Budweiser every once in a while, and maybe more often now than I did before. If this woman gets divorced and moves out of her air-conditioned luxury home with the heating rep, my partner and I might be able to talk more, but I’m happy with my single life and don’t want to change it. I live with a woman, and she and I are great friends and keep each other company, but we don’t have a romantic relationship.

The part looks like it’s sealed, and I can’t even open it with a screwdriver because I don’t see any screws on it. There must be a way to clean the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit, and I know I can look online to see if I can find out how. My bandmate is accustomed to begging for money when he plays, but I told him that I do not wish to beg and that he can play alone and beg for money if he desires. He was basically raised on the streets and has an odd mentality when it comes to playing on the streets, so I want to make sure he understands that I will not beg for money like a street beggar.
